Yesterday some of our girls had a visit from our local hoof trimmer. It is basically a pedicure for cows.
He shows up with his equipment, the cows walk one by one into his chute, he files their hooves, checks for any hoof warts & sends them on their way. Pretty basic.
Hoof care is extremely important to overall health of cattle. If a cow has a sore foot, hoof wart or needs a trim it could affect her wanting to move around. Keeping active & eating makes happy, healthy cows.
