Andrew would love a weather station. They have one at Costco that we look at every time we go. I will have to remember that when I need a gift 🙂

I am sure that would be great especially with your type of farming!

Krista, I love my Leatherman, but another gift that might make your list is a Swiss army knife. They come in a lot if flavors and carry two different ones in my own pocket just for the different tools. Come in handy for quiet a number of different quick fixes, like when that old carburetor breaks its spring, you can use a piece of baling wire to get you by.

Great suggestion!

Oh, books, Krista. There are so many wonderful farming books (including my own of course!!) but the James Herriot series, the dairy farming ones by Roger Evans (from Wales) are good, Irish Farming Life is excellent for anyone interested in Irish history and Irish farming. Do you have any American farming books you would recommend?
Krista Stauffer says
Don’t hate me but I do not read many books. I have American authors that write about farming that I would strongly recommend against. 😉
Lorna says
Ha! Yes, we all know and avoid those 😉

How about a diary ? Record all the fun times with the family. And even important dates to remember for next year

These are all great ideas Krista, thanks for sharing. I liked that you included ideas for him & her. Do you think a farmer will enjoy a Evaporative Cooler to keep the farm cool during dry hot summer days?
Krista Stauffer says
It is possible they would like one!
