This past week my daughter decided she was going to help our four-year old son learn the books of the Bible. She was very adamant that he learn and she was the one teaching him.
She would say the name, he would repeat it. He did an excellent job.
It went a little something like this:
- Genesis
- Exodus
- Leviticus
- Numbers
- Deuteronomy
- Joshua
- Judges
- Ruth
- 1 Samuel
- 2 Samuel
- 1 Kings
- 2 Kings
- 1 Colostrum
- 2 Colostrum
Farm girl, “NO, that is not right.”
Farm boy, “Yes it is!”
Farm girl, “It is NOT colostrum! Colostrum is what the baby calves drink.”
Farm boy, “I know, that is what I said.”
Farm girl, “No, it is 1 & 2 Chronicles, not colostrum!”
Farm boy, “I know, I said colostrum silly! It’s the same thing.”
Farm girl, “MOM!”
What can I say, my four-year old knows the importance of the Bible and colostrum.
